Syria: Turkey threatens openly with the establishment of protected zones – Syria: Kofi Annan intends to continue the implementation of the six

The United Nations (UN) special envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan, still holds to his so-called “peace plan” for Syria and advertises his six-point plan diligently to ensure that all sides should participate in its implementation, but Kofi Annan acts one-sided and seems to have lost objectivity.

Kofi Annan, as a UN special envoy to Syria, as a known person with a well-known image, is a front man and example of the United States. That Kofi Annan is also acting one-sided and misses to condemn all sides the same way, even tolerates the behavior of the so-called (external) Syrian opposition, the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), based in Istanbul, Turkey, is sure no good sign for his independence and objectivity.

This just reminds to the one-sided behavior of Western governments and some Gulf States like Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which act one-sided since the beginning and to which some even say, they are responsible for the increase of violence in Syria – e.g. because of the (behind the curtains) tolerated deliveries of weapons, ammos and funds to the Syrian rebels, e.g. the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA). Although the deadline for the withdrawal of troops has expired yesterday, the fighting continued in Syria between the regular Syrian army and the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA).

Until Thursday, according to Kofi Annan, all sides should finally lay down their arms. But is Kofi Annan really able to implement this, while the UN special envoy to Syria is currently en route to talk with the allies and opponents of Syria, but misses to find the conversations with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the dubious Ghalioun, the so-called head of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) in Istanbul, who was “elected” for this job by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Kofi Annan also misses to find negotiations with the leader / leaders of the questionable “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), even after they have again rejected possible negotiations which could, at least, decrease the violence and chaos in some parts of Syria.

On Tuesday, Kofi Annan has traveled to Hatay in Turkey in order to visit one of the so-called Syrian refugee camps. These Syrian refugee camps in Turkey are also used by the armed rebels to regenerate, for treatments and to receive new weapons and ammo. The Turkish government turns a blind eye to these movements of the armed rebels and “lets them go back to fight.” (Video below / Source)

More specific information about his visit to the refugee camps was not published, only a few of the statements by Kofi Annan have found their way into Western press. Of course, the reports about his visit to a Syrian refugee camp in Turkey were emotional, one-sided and missed some further information. As usually, also Western media have a blind eye when it comes to facts and information, which are not useful for the propaganda purposes against the Syrian government and the Syrian President al-Assad.

No matter what one thinks about Kofi Annan as a person and as a facilitator between different sides, it`s at least interesting and to respect that he still demands a ceasefire. It just would be better when Kofi Annan would not act one-sided. Kofi Annan has emphasized yesterday, that there should be no preconditions for the end of the violence in Syria and the implementation of the “six-point plan”, which could lead to a decrease of violence in Syria and to ways to solve this crisis.

Whether all sides will listen to these words by Kofi Annan is not entirely clear. Considering the recent events and the rejection of all negotiations by the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), based in Turkey, it seems that this “Council” is not really interested in giving up their preconditions, where one could also say, it`s just one precondition – the overthrow of the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.

This mainly Islamist “Syrian National Council” (SNC), in which at least 250-280 members are known to be Islamists, as some opposition members and even Reuters has already confirmed, has still no serious agenda for Syria and the majority of Syrians in Syria doesn`t respect this dubious “Council”.

A “regime change” in Syria, by foreign powers, would implement a possible civil war and turn the actual situation upside down. Then we have real Syrian rebels, because the majority of Syrians would not accept the members of this “Syrian National Council” (SNC) as new leaders and legitimated head of the country. Perhaps the UN special envoy, Kofi Annan, has wrongly tackled the situation.

One would have to harder call the opponents of the Syrian government to account from the beginning, not only because it`s legitimated, but also because to show every sides that one doesn`t act one-sided and as another tool of Western interests and questionable intentions. Kofi Annan has already made mistakes in his role as special envoy to Syria.

The external opponents of the Syrian President al-Assad have only one objective: the overthrow of the Syrian government in the capital Damascus and to gain more power and influence within Syria. Even when then majority of the Syrian population will never accept them. When the opponents of the Syrian “regime” (government) lay down their arms, they are not able to come closer to their stated goal, since the vast majority of the Syrian population doesn`t stand behind the so-called “Syrian National Council” (SNC) in Istanbul, Turkey; which means, they do not support this Islamist council.

On the contrary, unlike President al-Assad, the motley heaps, which is not united and meanwhile infiltrated by Islamists (Muslim Brotherhood, Salafists), has no support in the real Syrian society in Syria. Of course, the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) knows about this fact, and that`s sure one of the real reasons why they are still trying to solve the situation different than to accept negotiations for a peaceful end of this crisis.

The “Syrian National Council” (SNC) is not better than the Syrian government; considering the huge level of Islamists within this dubious Western-backed Council, it even seems that this Council is and will be even worse for Syria than the current Syrian government.

Many members of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), based in Istanbul, have the “Libyan model” still in their heads and want to gain power in Syria, while they do not care about the Syrian civilians.  That the Damascus government refuses to withdraw troops from the areas in which are still many fighters of the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) (e.g. Libyan mercenaries, Iraqi jihadists, criminals and Turkish Special Forces), is understandable.

These armed rebels are a threat for the Syrian people in these areas, what they have already confirmed with their huge violations of human rights. Like the Syrian Foreign Minister al-Muallem has announced at yesterday`s press conference in Moscow, the Syrian government has already began with the withdrawal of troops from some Syrian cities that are quiet and secured and where there is no more threat for the Syrian civilians in this areas.

Otherwise, clear words are directed to the so-called “opposition”. Not only the Syrian government, but also the armed fighters and criminals have to lay down their weapons. Imagine Italy, France, Britain or Germany has to handle with such an armed opposition force within their countries. What do you think would these governments do? Negotiations with an armed opposition?

In fact, also the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov has affirmed in the joint press conference with the Syrian Foreign Minister al-Muallem in Moscow yesterday that all sides have to be persuaded that they lay down their weapons. Particular attention should be paid to the armed fighters and their supporters in foreign countries like Turkey, Britain, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the United States, which have willfully boosted the situation (e.g. the violence) in Syria and which have “caused” some war-like conditions in some areas of this country.

While one is demanding ceasefire, it seems strange that the same side also delivers weapons, ammo and funds to the fighters in a sovereign state. Syria can still rely on the support by Moscow, but it`s sure a good question, how long still. The fact is that the situation in and around Syria has itself driven into a corner, and that some parts from the opposition are not interested in a ceasefire and a peaceful solution for this crisis.

The Syrian government has the support from Russia, China, Iran and some other states that have not so much political weight, but are still on the side of Syria. The (external) Syrian opposition groups are supported by Western governments and the Arab League. Both sides have different objectives and will seek to enforce them in Syria, unfortunately, at the expense of local people within Syria, as they have already done it with Libya and even before the “No-Fly Zone” on Libya, the war on Libya. It`s still not to predict how the big game about the supremacy in the Middle East will end.

Syria is currently the game ball and is the main topic at all meetings of the “powerful”. Also in the UN Security Council (UNSC), Syria will be discussed again (and again). As some Western imperialists and AIPAC-slaves have stated, the United Nations Security Council (SNC) has to look into the “moment of truth” in Syria, which means, they are interested in a military intervention; another word for a military intervention is a humanitarian help by NATO and the United States.

This other word for a military intervention is already confirmed by several “humanitarian acts” in recent years. We will later publish an article with further information about the wars and regime changes under the cover of “humanitarian aids” and also the facts why “Human Rights Watch” (HRW) is just a tool for the intentions of the United States; maybe just like the rating agencies in New York (Fitch Ratings, Standard Poor’s Ratings Services, Moody’s Investors Service / Dominion Bond Rating Service in Toronto).

Still, there are no new resolutions by the Security Council against Syria, or similar statements, but this should not be long in coming, because some are totally interested in a “regime change” in Syria, no matter what it might cost and no matter how many Syrian civilians will be killed.

While Kofi Annan is still trying to continue “his” six-point plan for Syria and is strongly interested in implementing the ceasefire, the Turkish government is completely spitting different sounds after the “incident” in the border area to Syria. And while it was first reported in Western media that there has been fighting between the Syrian regular army and armed fighters of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), the story about the incident in the border area between Turkey and Syria have now been reduced to the fact that the Syrian troops have targeted at refugees who had fled to Turkey.

Of course, for propaganda purposes. What´s up with the “Free Press” in Europe? No more journalism around in Western editorial offices? Copy and Paste has replaced real work? Impressive, but sure a benefit for economic interests and some careers.

Meanwhile, the independent journalists, who write different stories about the situation in Syria, which doesn`t fit the interests of Western governments, are pushed behind the curtains and there`s an attempt to keep them silent. Not to mention that their stories find no buyers in the Western editorial offices and it doesn`t matter of these independent journalists are Arab origin or Frenchmen, Brits, Germans or American.

The “Fairy Tales” for propaganda purposes in Western media are continuing; based on willfully false information, dubious sources and strange persons. Not to mention that a information like “Source: YouTube” is everything but no source. Of course, images and videos, underlined with an emotional headline and a nice voice are very good for influencing of viewers. Just ask Goebbels.

It has not to be the truth or very logical, to make people believing in it. The condensed statement in international mass media delivers more rights to the Turkish government to threaten the Syrian government more than the first sold tales about this incident in the border area, of course. What the evening news, in general, deliver to their viewers, will be believed by them, even when stories change from day to day, but who cares?

The most people in the West don`t think about the news which are delivered to them and the most people are not really interested in Syria. As we know, there are still people in the West, who are convinced, that the Syrian population is living mostly in tents. No joke, based on true questions, asked by civilians in the West.

From Ankara, Turkey, there are hard threats against Syria, but details are yet kept pretty vague, of course. One can assume that Turkey will further explore ways to build militarily secure protection zones in Syria, because the Turkish government is interested, at least, to gain more influence and control in Northern Syria. One of reasons behind the stances of the Turkish government and we did not yet mentioned why the Turkish government is willfully supporting Islamists.

So far, Turkey is still waiting for the approval of the United States. However, because this approval has not yet occurred, and because Turkey is not really interested to help Syrians, but knows about the good purposes of the “Responsibility to Protect”, the Turkish government could already think about the implementation of this principle of the “Responsibility to Protect”.

However, at the United Nations, which has introduced this (double-edged) principle of “Responsibility to Protect” in 2005, it is still not clear who has the authorization for such cases. Whether Turkey will act in isolation, is hard to predict, but one could certainly expect them to do so.

The drums of war are stirred in Turkey, the awakening of the Ottoman mind has already begun, and not to forget the fact that the Turkish governments wants to pretend to the West that it`s legitimated and willing to be a member of the European Union.

Turkey has increased the troops on the border with Syria and above all, the Turkish government has announced that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, known as PKK, works together with the Syrian government in Damascus. The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) is recognized by the Turkish government as a terrorist organization. But to be honest, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) is also listed as a terrorist organization internationally by more states and organizations, including the United States and the European Union and the Turkish government labels the PKK as an ethnic secessionist organization which relies on terrorism to achieve its political goals.

In order to fight against an expansion of cooperation between the PKK and the Syrian government in Damascus, the Turkish government could act alone, without any legitimations by the United Nations and other organizations. Of course, these accusations of the Turkish government are interesting but very doubtful, too. Maybe another act for propaganda purposes, because the PKK and the Syrian government have truly some different goals in its minds.

As noted already in several places, the so-called “civil war in Syria” is facing a turning point. Just the goal of this tuning point is unclear. But it could actually start with the fact that Turkey military intervenes on Syrian soil. Perhaps then, the troops from Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also used, which are certainly prepared for a long time to be finally used in Syria.

That would be the beginning of a conflagration, whose extent is not to be predicted by anyone, but it seems clear that such a conflagration in the Middle East would not stay in the Middle East.

Today’s Kofi Annan is in Tehran and will talk to Ahmadinejad, but the outcome of the discussion should be clear in advance. Iran will stand by the side of Syria, not because it`s the best friend of Syria, but because of own interests.

Whether the United Nations special envoy to Syria, Kofi Annan, will achieve what he has in mind, is rather questionable and his behavior is to put into question in some parts.
