Syria: Syria’s Contact Group meets in Tunis – No real friends

Tomorrow is the day: The Syria-Contact Group (“Friends of Syria”) meets in Tunis. It sounds like the hypocritically meeting, that took place shortly before the NATO war in Libya.

The name “Syria contact group” is very likely the same method as the formation of the Libya-contact group, which was formed to overthrow the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi (Qaddafi). They succeeded in their dubious intentions after an illegal war in Libya.

The similarities in the naming of events, the similarities with the manipulation of people by the propaganda of the conformist media in the West with their coverage of Libya and Syria, are astonishing. However, the West, which usually starts a bombardment without much hesitation, was far more reticent to really publicly intervene in Syria.

The group of the “Friends of Syria” will meet on Friday (24/02/2012), Tunis, and already will have some hidden meetings today evening. The “Friends of Syria” meeting in Tunis will discuss the further actions how to overthrow the Syrian government and the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

They will also discuss how to protect Syrian civilians and how to assist the opposition forces in Syria – also with moral agents. Not to mention that the title of this group is misleading. There are no real friends of Syria which will meet in Tunis.

Russia, China and Iran, Syria’s real friends, won`t attend this questionable meeting in Tunisia. Russia refused to participate and has a very good reason for their rejection: Only the opposition will meet in Tunis, representatives of the Syrian government are not invited to this dubious meeting.

But if we want a political solution, as hypocritically announced continuously by the U.S. administration, then a real dialogue between the parties in this conflict has to be favored – the U.S. administration doesn`t care about dialogues in reality.

If, however, only the Syrian opposition (can we really call these groups abroad a real opposition?) will meet with international organizations, which already lost credibility, not only within the events about Libya, as well as with the NATO warmongers, a dialogue which is able to defuse the situation in Syria (in some Syrian cities and districts), is not guaranteed and seems not to be favored by these groups and organizations.

The proposal by Russia, to conduct a dialogue between the Syrian government and the opposition abroad in Moscow, and to mediate between all sides, was simply rejected by the questionable Western-backed opposition, e.g. based in Istanbul, Turkey. Like all steps of the Syrian government have been simply rejected by these “democrats” of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) in Istanbul.

As in Libya, the only principal, that unites the many splintered “opposition” groups currently is to overthrow the Syrian government and the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. A very democratic and peaceful agenda. (Irony)

In addition, there is little unity within the opposition, not even on the procedure to overthrow the Syrian government, there is agreement. While the armed and violent members of the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) are not only responsible for the increased level of violence in Syria, but also call for an intervention in Syria, other parts of the opposition abroad reject this call for an foreign intervention in Syria or are just smarter in the sale of this call. Not to mention that a lot of the videos of these nice neighbors in Syria are faked.

The questionable meeting of the “Friends of Syria” in Tunisia will only lead to the goal that the dubious “Syrian National Council”, based in Istanbul, receives more recognition and also questionable support by foreign powers, even if this “council” is just a mixed bunch without a real program and timetable.

As the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said, this part of the opposition is also responsible for the increased level of violence within Syria. Real friends of Syria? No way.

As a real roadmap, one should not accept the demand for the overthrow of the Syrian President al-Assad. No real path for peace in Syria. What follows after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad? These dubious members of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) in Istanbul, Turkey, are truly not better.

Dubious intentions, questionable statements and backgrounds, also members of the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists (Salafis, Salafiyah).

No good mixture for peace in Syria and also no good mixture for a brighter future of Syria. Syria is still secular but it seems some parts of these dubious opposition forces really want to change this. This becomes more and more a real and dangerous fact.

What’s after the overthrow of President al-Assad? This is precisely the question which is asked by a lot of Syrians in Syria. The Syrians living abroad are able to reject whatever they want, but that the Syrian population should be afraid of the religious fanatics in Syria, is a fact.

The people in Syria fear this highly dangerous potential of religious extremists and radical Islamists. Not to mention that they have more clue about that than the Syrians living abroad since years; who are partly also members of the Muslim Brotherhood or even Salafists.

When you take a look at the new videos of the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) or at the video clips of the new Syrian deserters (not really true), you see the resemblance to known videos from the terrorist organization al-Qaeda. Also the bombings in Syria seem to show a similarity to the acts of terrorism by al-Qaeda. They attempt to enforce the “Islamization of Syria”, to build an… Islamistic Syria – based on Sharia laws.

This attempt of Islamists in and around Syria is even acknowledges by the U.S. Intelligence and other Western Intelligence Services. These Islamistic developments are not new in Syria. The Syrian government has fought against these radical Islamistic developments for quite some time now.

However, the West appears to prefer to unite with radical Islamists, the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafists (for whatever reason), than to face the real problems and to start a real dialogue to prevent more violence and a war which would cost the lives of an enormous amount of innocent people.

The West seems not to act democratically. Russia`s stance and demands are more democratically than the stances and hypocritically one-sided demands of Western governments. Wow.

Beside all the first mistakes and inappropriate actions of the Syrian army against armed gangs, the Syrian government in the capital Damascus is still willing to talk. The West, which is fixed on democracy and human rights, is not able to initiate talks between the Syrian government, Russia and China; even this would be the truly democratic way.

There`s indeed a questionable intention beside the aggressive and warmonger-stance of the West, which is totally in contrast to democratically dogmas. The West rather likes to remove unwanted rulers by using slogans for “humanitarian zones”.

It just sounds better than military interventions and after the “No-Fly Zone” in Libya with all the dead (over 50,000 dead, about 40,000 also dead or missed), the West is a bit scared to use that word again. The calls for a so-called humanitarian war by the West are no synonym for a real worrying about the local people in Syria.

The West showed that they don`t care for the Syrian civilians since months. They just use such nice words to achieve their dubious intentions. It´s just a “better sounding package” for the Western population.

Two attempts in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to condemn Syria were denied by the veto by Russia and China, who also voted in the UN General Assembly against a resolution on (against) Syria.

Russia is willing to contribute to a resolution, if such a resolution on Syria meets the actual and true situation in this country of the Middle East. Moscow is against any one-sided and hypocritically resolution against Syria.

Medvedev and mainly Putin have learned from their failures with the events before the NATO war in Libya. A real peaceful solution for Syria assumes that both sides are asked to refrain from violence. The mercenaries of the so-called Western-backed “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) are heavily armed.

America wants to arm them even more – against international laws. You are not able to decrease violence if you deliver heavy weapons to one side. Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton, AIPAC-Favorites and known liars, should already have learned this fact in school.

The members of the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) don`t hesitate to use violence and terror against the Syrian population to achieve their dubious goals. Groups of radical Islamists, religious fanatics, armed criminals and terrorists are a threat for every country.

Even France, United States and Switzerland would not act different than the Syrian government – when they would be faced with such heavy armed groups in they own country.
