Syria agrees to Kofi Annan’s six-point plan – Syrian President al-Assad visited Baba Amr in Homs

Yesterday, in two respects, was an important day for Syria. Firstly, Kofi Annan has stated, that the response from the Syrian government in Damascus was positive to his so-called “peace plan”.

Damascus has thus agreed to meet the requirements of the six-point plan from Kofi Annan, to provide a starting point for political change.  The six-point plan from Kofi Annan, that addresses all involved parties, stipulates, that there should be a United Nations-supervised peace plan and that the Syrian military withdraws from the cities.

Of course, the peace-plan also demands an unrestricted humanitarian aid. In addition, all political prisoners shall be freed, and all parties should get involved in the political process in Syria. Further, this six-point plan from Kofi Annan urges the free movement of journalists within Syria and the possibility of the implementation of freedom for assemblies and demonstrations.

As the news flashed across the world, that the Syrian government and President Bashar al-Assad have agreed to the six-point plan from Kofi Annan, the Syrian President visited the former “stronghold” of the armed rebels, the district Baba Amr in the Syrian city of Homs.

Thus, the Syrian President al-Assad gave an important signt to many Syrians, and encouraged them to persevere this awful situation – which was also boosted by the hypocritically sanctions of Western government.

The Saudi propaganda channel, al-Arabiya, reported, based on the typical eyewitness from the Syrian opposition, that the convoy of the Syrian president al-Assad was attacked with shots, but this isn`t confirmed and just the news which makes it clear that there is no professional journalism at al-Arabiya; just a witch hunt against Syria, in connection with the Qatari TV channel Al-Jazeera.

Western media copy, translate and use this unconfirmed propaganda without any fact checking, investigation or the using of their brains. After the information of the tortures, kidnapping and executions by Syrian rebels against Syrian soldiers and even civilians, the information was published, that the so-called fighters of the questionable and violent “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) also used so-called “child soldiers” (e.g. in Baba Amr, Homs). Of course, this contrary to international conventions, but it seems that these armed radicals and religious fanatics are still supported and favored by Western media and governments.

What a world. Not to mention that all these information about the violations of human rights and the use of child soldiers by the armed “rebels” are no new information. Human Rights Watch (HRW), Amnesty International (AI), BBC, CNN, ARD, ZDF, SkyNews, Fox and a lot of other media agencies and editorial offices in the West have known this since months. Also the Vatican was informed about these violations and threats of the “rebels” against Christians and other minorities within Syria already months ago.

China and Russia assured Kofi Annan during his visit, that they will absolute and unconditional assistance him in implementing this six-point peace plan for Syria. Iran has confirmed the support of Syria in all fields, also including the advancement of reforms, which were initiated at the beginning of the riots already, but then came to a halt by the increase in violence by the Western-backed rebels of the external Syrian opposition and other criminal and violent elements in Syria.

Not to mention that the increasing, violent sectarian trend is not to overseen. No surprise, considering that the head of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC), Ghalioun, was chosen by the Muslim Brotherhood to present this external, divided Syrian “opposition”. Whether the reforms, which were undertaken so far, are enough is questionable. If the peace plan will actually be implemented, this may be the starting point of actual innovations that could lead to a complete redesign of Syria.

But this requires that all different sides start to really pull together and that the dubious external Syrian opposition, e.g. in Istanbul, Turkey, finally joins the political dialogue. These questionable persons are also responsible for the increasing violence within Syria. They have always rejected any offers for negotiations, which could have led to a decrease of the violence and chaos in some parts of Syria.

Considering this, it stinks that the so-called foreign opposition, that is, the dubious “Syrian National Council” (SNC(, which has met in preparation for the next meeting of the so-called “Friends of Syria” on next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday yesterday, did not speak about the six-point plan by Kofi Annan. Instead, this meeting behind closed doors was about the achievement to gain a united front against the Syrian President al-Assad.

Considering that a Kurdish party left this meeting and that some smarter famous opposition figures (not related to the Western SNC) rejected any participation, some could again say, that they failed. Of course, we have to wait the further days. But it`s a fact that this “Friends of Syria”-meeting is again a meeting of questionable people who do not really care about the welfare of the Syrian population. They have already proven this in the last 13 months. You really need no enemies when you have such friends.

The so-called “Syrian National Council” (SNC), with all its factions and splinter groups could agree only to an absolute minimum consensus again, they totally ignored and completely disregarded the terms of the six-point plan from Kofi Annan.

While no fall of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is included in the Six-Point Plan of Kofi Annan, the majority of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) again agreed on some ideas how a Syria should be after the overthrow of the Syrian president and the government in Damascus – and people still ask why the huge majority of Syrians in Syria doesn`t trust this external opposition?

Come on. No real agenda, no peace and freedom in mind; too much Salafists and Muslim Brotherhood within. They have never really cared about the Syrian people.

They agreed to support the violent “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), although they aren`t really able to control all parts of these armed groups within Syria, and above all, they once again called for a hypocritically military-backed protection zone in Syria. That is, they still hold firmly to their demands for a military action in Syria, although one wants to avoid this, at least, when you do not belong to those, who still kick any international law with feet, such as China and Russia, who want to protect these laws, in contrast to the false accusations from Western governments. Because of their veto, the two countries came under high pressure and criticism in recent weeks. It`s a hypocritically world.

The “Syrian National Council” (SNC), which denied a transitional government and rejected any Constituent Assembly, totally ignores the Six-Point Peace Plan from Kofi Annan and Western media still mostly favors them. Just like the violent rebels. The only statement that was made by representatives of the dubious “Syrian National Council” (SNC) was, that they are skeptical about the intentions of the Syrian government and President al-Assad when it comes to their agreement of this six-point plan from Kofi Annan.

Honestly, one can also say, that it is more to question whether the armed rebels, Libyan mercenaries, Iraqi jihadists and al-Qaeda thugs will stick to the ceasefire. It`s sure understandable for people, why people do not believe that these religious fanatics and armed criminals will really stick to a (needed) ceasefire.

The “Syrian National Council” (SNC) “doesn`t trust the Syrian government and its promises, since they never kept their promises in the past”. A statement from the right side, whose dark machinations are becoming more and more visible, even if the West still tries to cover this.

The next days will be sure exciting and everybody directs the eyes toward Syria. If the Syrian president al-Assad implements the plan from Kofi Annan, something will happen in the upcoming days within Syria.

Unfortunately, the armed “insurgents” will constantly try to achieve their goals, it doesn’t matter what the Syrian government does or not does. For them, at least for the huge radical part, there should be only one goal: the overthrow of al-Assad.

Maybe the best option and real goal of some: the murder of Bashar al-Assad. It is now urgent and at the time to start a dialogue about political means to bring changes.  The issue of implementation of the changes is controversial. Whether the external Syrian opposition will abide the six-point plan is not certain and really to put into question. One would suspect that they will continue to fight against the Syrian government, with or without a ceasefire.

At least, a statement of a Speaker of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) indicates this. The SNC-speaker emphasized that, at least, a two-hour daily ceasefire would be a great help – but for what? That the armed criminals are able to reformat and get new support, so they are able to fight back, with more force? This would lead to more violence and death, also at Syrian civilians.

One must not forget that weapons are still smuggled across the border to Syria and that there are many forces which have no interests in a real political dialogue with the Syrian government. These “forces” want to overthrow the Syrian president and the government. These forces include (despite the emphasis) the United States but also the Gulf states, which pursue their own interests.

Kofi Annan will now explain, in a closed session of the UN Security Council (UNSC), his ideas for ending the violence in Syria next week. Even if everyone puts great hope in Kofi Annan, one should also remain skeptical about him; at least, Kofi Annan is a person in circles, who want a so-called “regime change” in Syria.

If the six-point plan should really come to fruition, then the West would receive a setback in terms of “their” new Middle East policy and in the help for coups against dictators in the Arab countries, where they forgot some “governments” or missed them because of political self-interest.

An interesting aspect of the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) is, that they also published a statement on Tuesday that they will continue to fight, only by legal means, to get back the Golan Heights for Syria. And, guess what, some time ago, this “Syrian National Council” (SNC) has announced, that they will conclude a peace treaty with Israel. But if Israel has to return the Golan Heights for a peace treaty, this peace treaty will never become reality, of course.

Welcome to the situation of recent decades in the Middle East. Not to mention that the “Syrian National Council” (SNC) is a bunch of Hypocrites and puppets, and more and more know about this fact.
