Sydney man dies in ‘love triangle stabbing’

A Sydney man who was killed in a double stabbing over the weekend is believed to have been involved in a love triangle with a woman who was also stabbed and her sister.

A 45-year-old man was found stabbed to death in a Bossley Park home on Saturday and a 37-year-old woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital with critical injuries, the Daily Telegraph reports.

The man is believed to have stabbed his wife’s sister — with whom he was allegedly having an affair — in a confrontation before turning the knife on himself.

Neighbours told the newspaper the dead man’s wife had left him two or three weeks ago after discovering the alleged affair.

Police confirmed the female victim was “known to the man”.

A witness told the newspaper she called police after hearing the stabbed woman yelling from the front yard.

“She was leaning on a car and there was blood everywhere,” the unnamed witness said.
