Sydney man charged after bullet casings found

A MAN has been charged with shooting a firearm in public after spent bullet casings were found on a road in Sydney’s west.

Police found a number of casings at Guildford last night after detectives and police from Operation Spartan, who are investigating Sydney’s recent spate of shootings, went to the scene.

Since then, police have searched a home in Green Valley, seized a vehicle and arrested a 28-year-old man, who has been charged with firing a firearm in a manner likely to injure and other other offences.

He was refused bail and is set to appear in Bankstown Bail Court tomorrow.
