Sydney hotel robbed at gunpoint

Police are hunting two men who robbed a hotel in western Sydney at gunpoint and made off with a large sum of cash.

Two men with concealed faces entered the pub at Plumpton at about 11.30pm (AEST) on Saturday and threatened a 24-year-old bartender with a firearm and a knife.

They then forced the licensee into a back office where they demanded cash from the safe.

They fled with what police are calling a “large sum” of money.

Police were called and the crime scene was examined by specialist forensic officers.

One of the men is described as about 165cm to 170cm tall, of slim to medium build, and aged in his late 20s or early 30s.

The second man is about 183cm tall, of slim build and with a dark complexion.
