A young boy has been rushed to hospital after impaling himself on a branch when falling from a tree in Sydney’s north-west.
Ambulance crews rushed Rotary Park in Kenthurst shortly before 4pm (AEST) on Saturday after the boy fell three metres from a tree and struck a branch.
The eight-year-old, from Annangrove, suffered a deep impaled abdominal wound and was taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
He was in a stable condition upon arrival and required emergency surgery.
