The Major Crime Unit is investigating the death of a man in the Great Southern town of Katanning.
Police and ambulance officers went to a property on Marri Drive just before noon on Saturday following reports a man was lying on the ground.
He could not be resuscitated.
Forensics officers travelled to the town from Perth late last night.
Police are yet to establish how he died but are understood to be treating the death as suspicious.
