He described himself as “a former hacker” who was once convicted of insider trading.
IN COURT: A New Zealand judge denied him bail following his arrest on U.S. accusations of copyright infringement.
ABOUT THE SITE: The U.S. government shut down Megaupload’s file-sharing website last week, alleging the company facilitated illegal downloads of copyrighted movies and other content.
