Steven Curtis Chapman taking set requests for fall 2013 US tour (Video)

Set to open a coast-to-coast concert tour in less than a month to promote his latest album, contemporary Christian music artist Steven Curtis Chapman is taking song requests.

“We don’t know how to fit all the songs into the set,” read an August 30 post on Chapman’s official Facebook page. “Steven has 47 #1s!” [sic]

The post went on to invite fans to share their favorite Steven Curtis Chapman song titles for possible inclusion in his upcoming performances in The Glorious Unfolding tour, which starts September 26 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and runs through the end of November. The tour is tied to the recent release of Chapman’s album of the same title.

Immediately, thousands of fans “liked” the Facebook post, and several hundred anted up song requests.

Top singles by Steven Curtis Chapman include “Cinderella,” “Dive,” “Fingerprints of God,” “For the Sake of the Call,” “Heartbeat of Heaven,” “Heaven in the Real World,” “I Will Be Here,” “King of the Jungle,” “Live Out Loud,” “Lord of the Dance,” “Magnificent Obsession,” “More to This Life,” “Not Home Yet,” “Sometimes He Comes in the Clouds,” “Still Called Today” (with BeBe Winans), and “The Great Adventure.”

The popular Christian singer and songwriter will celebrate his 50th birthday on November 21, when he will be performing in Burlington, Iowa.

Steven Curtis Chapman has won five Grammy Awards and nearly 60 Dove Awards. The artist , who hosted an August 24 international adoption charity fundraiser with a private Tim McGraw concert in Nashville, is planning m April 2014 tour of Israel with celebrated pastor and author Max Lucado.
