Just three months after Steve Jobs passed away, a pair of toy companies have unveiled an action-figure of the late Apple CEO.

Called the iCEO mini, it’s a 12-inch action figure made in his likeness.

Toy companies in icons and Dragon in Dream unveiled the figure yesterday in tribute to the tech visionary who gave the world the Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod.

The figure features Jobs’ trademark black turtleneck, jeans and sandshoes.

Publicity photos feature a miniature Mac, iPhone and iPad, but the accessories will not be included.

The figure is due for release in late February for $99.99 plus shipping.

How long will it last? The toy companies behind the figures could face action from Apple or Steve Jobs' family

Apple or Jobs’s family might
take action to block the use of Jobs’ likeness, as they did in 2010 when
a company called MIC Gadget attempted to sell Jobs action figures on
eBay.

But Dragon In
Dream has managed to release unauthorised figures in the past,
depicting such famous people as US President Barack Obama.

Steve Jobs died on October 5 last year after a seven-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the news
of Jobs’s death to Apple employees via e-mail, in which he said: ‘I
have some very sad news to share with all of you. Steve passed away
earlier today.

‘No words can adequately express our sadness at Steve’s death or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him.

‘We will honour his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.’
