we need to fix our vocabulary as it applies to semi-auto rifles . they are NOT assault rifles they are semi-automatic sporting rifles . the more the term assault weapon is used to describe a semi -auto ar-15 the more power it gives then when pushing a ban.
assault rifle = full auto weapon semi-auto = sporting rifle
i cant speak for anyone else , but my semi-auto is used regularly to shoot coyotes menacing my livestock and i also use a night scope , so how is this a mis-use of this type of firearm?

These Aurora cops need to be fired. This is very disturbing. I would go to each of those cops houses and burn their homes down if they have randomly pulled me over and put a gun in my face.
