The bomb planted near security checkpoint in Tirrah valley of Khyber tribal district went off Sunday when a vehicle was passing , leaving six tribesmen dead and seven others wounded, local sources told Press TV.
The injured people have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
No group has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.
In a separate incident of violence on Sunday, militants attacked a military check post in the country’s South Waziristan Agency, leaving one soldier dead and two others wounded.
On Friday, a powerful bomb explosion killed at least 31 people and left many others wounded in a market in Parachinar town, located about 290 kilometers (180 miles) west of the capital Islamabad.
