DW – Greek Prime Minister Samaras’ coalition partners have called for a reversal of the abrupt suspension of public broadcaster, ERT. Journalists and two major unions met the government decision with protests and strikes. The decision to temporarily shut down ERT angered center-left coalition partners on Wednesday, who had not been consulted on the matter. “We are asking the prime minister to discuss the issue as soon as possible,” PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos said.
