SAVONA, ITALY- 05/03/2013 — Recent scandals have troubled the Catholic Church as the serious crimes of clerical pedophilia are being revelaed worldwide, innocent victims have been speaking out. For this reason, the Italian foundation RETE L’ABUSE calls on the Vatican Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone, to exclude former bishop of Savona and current President of APSA, Cardinal Domenico Calcagno, from the upcoming conclave.
Domenic Calcagno has covered and protected the pedophile priest NELLO GUIRAUDO, who abused more than 30 children in the city of Savona, Italy and has been recently sued by one of his victims, Francesco Zanardi.
Francesco Zanardi, who is the President of RETE L’ABUSE Foundation, was sexually abused by Father Nello Guiraudo. He has led a long and hard struggle in attempt to bring Guiraudo to justice by delivering him to the authorities. This has been a long road without success due to the protection offered to the former Bishop of Savona, Domenico Calcagno, by Vatican officials like Cardinal Calcagno.
For this reason, the RETE L’ABUSE seeks support in gathering signatures against Cardinal Domenico Calcagno, who has help protect FATHER GUIRAUDO NELLO, a pedophile priest, so that he is not permitted to take part of the conclave.
