Police are investigating after a number of bullet holes were found in a house in Penrith in Sydney’s west.
Police were told about 7.45pm (AEST) on Saturday that shots had been fired at the house on Chapman Avenue, Penrith, sometime on on Thursday morning.
Police from Penrith Local Area Command found several bullet holes in the front of the home and specialist police were called in to examine the scene, backed by police from Operation Spartan, a unit investigating gang crimes.
It’s believed the occupants were not home at the time of the shooting and they are assisting police with their inquiries.
Police advised anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
