Shot fired at Sydney home

A man was injured when a bullet was fired at a home in Sydney’s west.

Police say the front of the property in Hawksview Street, Merrylands was shot at just after 9pm (AEST) on Monday.

A man inside the home suffered a minor neck injury.

It was not immediately clear if the bullet struck him or he was hit by debris.

A woman and two young children also inside the home were not hurt.
