A teenage skateboarder has suffered serious head injuries after falling from his board while being towed around Sydney Olympic Park.
The male youth, whose exact age was not immediately clear, was one of four skaters being towed by a car – a practice known as skitching – in Grand Parade on Monday night.
Police said he fell and hit his head on the road.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
Three of his mates also fell and suffered cuts and bruises.
The driver of the car, aged 18, was being questioned by police.
