According to IRIB World Service, the Russian foreign minister said on Monday that these sanctions have been imposed by Russia due to this country’s national security reasons; and the states which have imposed embargoes on Russia are not good partners.
He termed the goal of Kiev military operations in eastern Ukraine as piling up pressure on Russian forces.
He also expressed hope that the West would set aside pessimism toward Russians and would not reduce the pace of relief aid operations in eastern Ukraine.
Russia has recently sent a humanitarian convoy to east Ukraine to render relief aid in cooperation with the representatives of International Red Cross Committee.
