Iran exported more than 76 tons of saffron worth $160 million to 47 countries during the 10 months ending January 20, said the head of Khorasan Razavi Saffron Exporters Association.
Gholamreza Miri added that the figure registers a 35.8% decline compared with last year’s corresponding period. The official cited unprecedented price fluctuations in recent years as the main cause for the decline, ISNA reported.
