SA pair deny harbouring child for sex

A man and a woman have denied harbouring or concealing a child for almost a month.

Scott Hall, 28, and Crystal Chamings, 22, appeared in the South Australian District court on Monday charged with harbouring or concealing a child at Morgan, in the state’s Riverland region, between February 1 and February 21, 2011.

The court was told on Monday the child was absent from state care during that time.

Chamings is further charged with procuring a child for sexual activity.

Hall faces a charge relating to sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl without her consent.

The pair, from Morgan, pleaded not guilty to all charges.

They are due back in court on April 5.
