At the Beijing conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Russian President Vladimir Putin remarked that he supports a peaceful Iranian nuclear program.

The SCO is comprised of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan attend the SCO meeting as partial members.
Putin warned that “any attempts to solve the Iranian problem by force are not acceptable and lead to unpredictable consequences, threatening stability and security in the region and in the world as a whole.”

The Obama administration refuses to acknowledge Iran’s right as a sovereign nation to explore nuclear energy; accusing Tehran of having no right to enrich uranium because of its previous violations of the UN’s Non-Proliferation Treaty .
Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, commented that “major powers” want Iran to participate in nuclear talks (to be held in Moscow later this month) to coerce the nation into halting their enrichment of uranium. Although the uranium is up to 20 percent purity and nowhere near enough to be used in a nuclear weapon, Clinton asserts that this tiny step brings Iran “closer to developing bomb grade material.”

Clinton is basing her opinion on a report by the UN’s Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS). The ISIS have been tracking Iran’s nuclear program. Based on the findings of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), ISIS has declared that Iran is pursuing uranium enrichment, which is a violation of the UN’s resolution demanding that the sovereign nation of Iran suspend all activity.

In an interview with ABC News, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said very bluntly, that if diplomacy fails in Iran, the US military have a “plan in place”.

“One of the things that we do at the Defense Department is plan. And we have – we have plans to be able to implement any contingency we have to in order to defend ourselves,” Panetta said.

The Obama administration is gearing up for possible war with Iran. Panetta remarked about the union between the US and the UN in a fight against Iran when he said: “The fundamental premise is that neither the United States nor the international community is going to allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. We will do everything we can to prevent them from developing a weapon.”

The UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is “concerned” about what they refer to as a “clean up at a military site” where the IAEA claims Iran is hiding nuclear weapons related “activities”.

This is a conflict of interest when the information they are issuing is propaganda that furthers the UN and the Obama administration’s efforts to justify striking Iran.

The satellite images originated from a US government’s commercial satellite used by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS).

ISIS claims to be non-partisan, while also “dedicated to informing the public about science and policy issues affecting international security. Its primary focus is on stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and related technology to other nations and terrorists, bringing about greater transparency of nuclear activities worldwide, strengthening the international non-proliferation regime, and achieving deep cuts in nuclear arsenals.”

Iran maintains that their nuclear program is not a violation of the NPT, but an attempt to develop full nuclear fuel to use in nuclear power plants being constructed.
