Russia strongly criticizes US over torture and other human rights violations

Russia has strongly criticized the US over what it calls violations of human rights, citing torture, Guantanamo Bay and death of innocent death row inmates. The situation in the United States is a far cry from the ideals that Washington proclaims, the report has said, a view that is becoming more common for a country that is supposed to set the ideal for democracy.
