After an extended blackout, mainstream media is finally reporting on Ron Paul. They are, however, misinforming the public as to the status of the Paul campaign.
Mainstream media would have you believe Paul has dropped out of the bid for GOP nomination.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The Washington Post is reporting that Ron Paul will “continue to work in the state convention process” as per an email Paul sent to his supporters.” . . . we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted”.
Paul supporters have been coming out in droves to become candidates for delegates. Where Romney may win a caucus, Paul goes home with more than 2/3rds of the delegates on average.
Paul has decided to change his strategy for becoming the GOP nominee for President.
Jesse Benton explains that, “We will continue to run strong programs at district and state [party] conventions to win more delegates and alternate delegates to the national convention.”
In an email to supporters, Paul explained that, “Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process. We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future”.
Paul’s shift in focus has more to do with honesty than anything else. Without the elite pour millions of dollars into his campaign, Benton says that Paul has decided he would not “fruitlessly pour money into the remaining primary states”.
Paul is not throwing in the towel, although his chief strategist acknowledges that Romney may have enough delegates to secure the GOP nomination.
Throughout the primaries, there has been fraud and chicanery. Only recently, with the debacle in Maine, did Paul speak out about the misappropriation of votes and fraudulent counting and procurement of those caucuses. Romney, who cannot fill a small auditorium of supporters, somehow is beating Paul who has to move his venue because an unexpected 10,000 supporters showed up to rally with their candidate.
Benton urges: “Our delegates can still make a major impact at the national convention and beyond . . . to shape the process for future liberty candidates.”
The supporters are vocal about their candidate not dropping out as mainstream media is gladly reporting.
Doug Wead, Paul’s senior adviser wrote on his blog that:
Ron Paul announced today he would not be competing in the upcoming primary states, saying that he would focus, instead, on his delegate strategy. A strategy that is working, by the way, and transforming the Republican Party.
Paul’s supporters are voracious about their candidate. This race for GOP nomination has more than just the Presidency at stake.
Paul understands that major shifts within the US government must happen before the Federal Reserve and global Elite complete their conversion of our Constitutional Republic into a Fascist Dictatorship.
Paul is the only man willing to do what it takes to clear out the snakes and money changers that are bringing our country to its knees.
