The 75-year-old star of classics as The Sting and Butch Cassidy and the
Sundance Kid, recently expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state
of US politics, saying: “Our Congress is not the best and the brightest. The
quality of intellectual exchange [is] so damaged by the behaviour of a lot
of the people that are running for office. It’s embarrassing, and I think
our country has declined… in some cases drastically.”
