PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gas prices in Rhode Island have fallen for the eighth straight week.
AAA Southern New England said Monday that the average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular is $3.60, down 12 cents from last week. Since mid-April, prices have dropped 37 cents.
The price locally is still six cents above the national average of $3.54 a gallon.
At this time last year, Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.82 a gallon.
