Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) said Thursday that he’s proud of the Utah Jazz NBA team for racially discriminating against white children by excluding them from their scholarship program.
Governor Cox was asked during a Q&A live-streamed on Facebook “if it’s racist that the Utah Jazz excludes white children from the team’s scholarship program.”
“It’s not racist,” Cox responded. “Ryan Smith and the Jazz can do what they want with their funds. All kids should have equal opportunities, and we’re proud of the Jazz.”
“It’s an awesome program,” Cox continued. “It’s something that should be celebrated.”
