Left-wing reporter Matt Taibbi is extremely distressed by the state of modern journalism, and he is taking aim at the fake news for cozying up to the powers they ought to be holding accountable.
He explained how the liberal media was fully behind Wikileaks less than a decade ago, before Obama’s cultural revolution had taken hold and Trump showed up to turn the Left bonkers. Now, they serve the deep state that Wikileaks once exposed for committing heinous crimes against humanity with their disclosures.
“Julian Assange is behind bars, and may die there. Snowden is in exile in Russia. Brennan, Clapper, and Hayden have been rehabilitated and are all paid contributors to either MSNBC or CNN, part of a wave of intelligence officers who’ve flooded the airwaves and op-ed pages in recent years,” Taibbi wrote to describe our dystopian present.
“Once again, Internet platforms, credit card companies like Visa and MasterCard, and payment processors like PayPal are working to help track down and/or block the activities of “extremists.” This time, they’re on the same side as the onetime press allies of Wikileaks and Snowden, who began a course reversal after the election of Donald Trump,” he added.
Following the mostly-peaceful protest in and around the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the Left is fully on board with using the national security state to crack down against political dissidents in the homeland. They have become everything they used to hate, and Taibbi – a reporter who has resisted the mob and kept his moral compass intact – is disgusted as a result.
Another award-winning journalist who is enraged with the status quo in his industry is Glenn Greenwald. He is speaking out against the trend of journalists, backed by corporations or oligarchs, attacking regular people for expressing opinions permissible under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.
Greenwald has quit The Intercept and turned against the website, which was his own creation, for sifting through hacked private data from the pro-free speech social media platform, Gab, in order to doxx individuals and create new targets for far-left thugs.
“That a media outlet founded in order to battle mass surveillance of ordinary citizens and to safeguard privacy rights is now trolling through stolen digital data of private citizens in order to expose and punish them for thought crimes and ideological dissent is as grotesque as it is ironic,” Greenwald said.
Big League Politics has reported on how The Intercept is putting videographers in the spotlight so they can be targeted by ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter terrorists while filming rallies:
“Left-wing rag The Intercept is doxxing reporters who have filmed Black Lives Matter rallies as they have descended into lawless riots, with low IQ savages raping and pillaging cultural monuments while looting and burning storefronts.
In his propaganda piece doxxing the reporters, writer Robert Mackey highlighted the work of videographers such as Julio Rosas of Townhall, Jorge Ventura and Richie McGinniss of the Daily Caller, Elijah Schaffer of BlazeTV, Drew Hernandez of Riot Squad, Kalen D’Almeida, and others who have captured raw riot footage in recent months.
Mackey is chastising these individuals for performing actual journalism and raising their profile so they are more likely to be targeted by ANTIFA and BLM thugs. This is how the liberal fake news foments left-wing domestic terrorism in the digital age…
The world will be better off when The Intercept‘s billionaire oligarch funders finally pull the plug, and the entity – founded by Greenwald as a redoubt for authentic journalism – is remembered as one of the most disappointing publications in history.”
Taibbi and Greenwald deserve credit for having the courage to stand against this Orwellian descent into extreme totalitarianism coming from the Left.
