Qld woman stable after brown snake bite

A woman has been flown to a central Queensland hospital after being bitten by a deadly brown snake.

The 31-year-old was walking along a road after dark on Thursday when she was bitten by the snake.

The bite also caused the woman to fall and suffer a head injury.

She managed to find help and was taken to Thangool Hospital, then later to Rockhampton Base Hospital by the RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter and was in a stable condition.
