The parents of a missing Brisbane woman who has Down syndrome are extremely worried, police say.
The search for Jade Briskey, 31, has entered its second day with volunteers, police on trail bikes and a helicopter called in to scour bushland in the city’s south.
Officers say she may appear younger than her age.
She was last seen by a neighbour about 9am (AEST) on Thursday in Estate Place, Holland Park West.
“Her parents are extremely upset,” Inspector Owen Elloy told reporters on Friday.
“She’s of very small stature and only has the intellectual abilities of child.”
Police say Ms Briskey slipped out of her house when her parents went out for an appointment.
Sixty State Emergency Service and local volunteers, police on trail bikes and a helicopter are combing areas in the nearby Toohey Forest and the adjoining suburb of Wellers Hill.
Ms Briskey is believed to be wearing pink Crocs shoes, black pants and a short sleeved top of unknown colour.
She was carrying a blue backpack and a calico bag and may have a basketball and drawing materials.
Ms Briskey is of Caucasian appearance, about 142cm tall, with a medium build and shoulder-length brown hair.
