From the Royal wedding to the EU crisis, the Mail’s Jonathan Pugh always has a witty take on the news.  Here we present some of his very best from this year.

Pugh covered the benefits of apples and the benefits of being miserable

Pugh added his take to soldiers being sacked by email and the price of food

Pugh also drew cartoons on Greece, petrol prices and people changing their names by deed poll

Pugh also drew cartoons on obesity pills and the BBC Frozen Planet fakery row
