“I am thankful that the investigation established what I’ve known all along,
that I am innocent of the allegations that were waged against me,” Mr Kelly
said in a statement. He is expected to return to his job as a host of Fox’s
Good Day New York programme.
There was no immediate reaction from Commissioner Kelly who at one point was
publically confronted by the accuser’s boyfriend over the allegations.
The decision not to press charges against Mr Kelly comes months after the case
against Dominique
Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund,
collapsed in New York’s criminal courts.
