Pregnant woman repeatedly stabbed at home

Police are hunting a man who has stabbed a pregnant woman repeatedly in Sydney’s west.

The 28-year-old mother-to-be was stabbed several times during an assault at her home on Tumut Place in St Clair about 9.40pm yesterday.

Police believe it was a domestic incident.

The woman, who is three months pregnant, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

She was treated for a punctured lung and stab wounds to her back and arm, but scans show her baby is apparently unharmed.

Police are seeking a man described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 30s, with a thin build, 170 centimetres tall, with a fair complexion and brown hair.

Anyone with information should contact St Marys Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
