A POLICE officer has been kicked in the head during an arrest in Sydney’s east.
Police say officers went to a house in Matraville this evening to arrest a 17-year-old male and a 22-year-old female over a break and enter in Chifley.
During the arrest one officer was put into a headlock by the youth and kicked in the head by the woman.
Police say the pair were eventually brought under control and taken to Maroubra Police Station.
The police officer suffered minor injuries.
The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated break and enter, assault police, resist arrest and breach of bail.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Children’s Court tomorrow.
The female was charged with aggravated break and enter and assault police.
She was granted bail and will appear in Central Local Court on April 3.
