A man has been arrested after an African bull python, four turtles and three rare African chameleons were seized by police during a raid in Sydney’s south.
Police also charged the 23-year-old man with supply and possession of a dangerous drug after finding methamphetamine and cannabis leaf in the Gymea Bay home, in Sutherland shire, on Wednesday.
A stun gun, capsicum spray and knuckle dusters were also seized, police say.
The man has be bailed and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on June 14.
The animals have been taken to Taronga Zoo where they may be euthanised.
