Police seek man over Warwick disappeance

Police want to talk to a man they say may be able help solve the suspicious disappearance of a 55-year-old southeast Queensland woman.

Gail Lynch was last seen at her home in Warwick on July 3.

Police have already questioned a 58-year-old Toowoomba man believed to have previously been a relationship with her.

But on Thursday they released a statement saying they wanted to speak with another man named Ian Hannaford.

“(He) may be able to provide assistance regarding Ms Lynch’s disappearance,” the statement said, without revealing any other information about him.

Police say extensive searches of Warwick and the surrounding area have failed to find Ms Lynch.

Detectives are also after information about a red rug family members realised was missing from her home after her disappearance.

It is described as measuring three metres by two metres with a gold patterned border.
