Police say man caught drink-driving twice

A man’s been caught allegedly drink-driving twice in the space of two hours in northern New South Wales.

Police say the man returned a positive test after they stopped him in Inverell on Saturday afternoon.

The 52-year-old was arrested and issued a Field Court Attendance Notice, and his driver’s licence was suspended, before being released from police custody.

Police say less than two hours later he was pulled over again in Gilgai where he allegedly returned another positive reading.

He’ll face court on April 12 charged with driving with mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol and driving whilst suspended.
