Police appeal for help on Sydney stabbing

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old was stabbed outside a TAB in Sydney’s south.

Two brothers were walking along Bay Street in Brighton Le Sands at about 3.30pm (AEDT) on Tuesday when another man approached them.

He then allegedly stabbed one of the brothers in the leg before fleeing, police said.

The 25-year-old was taken to St George Hospital in a serious condition.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the stabbing to come forward.

The man is described as being of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean appearance, aged 30 to 40 years, with a heavy build.
