Photo: Leaping bobcat!

Donald Quintana captured this amazing moment of a female bobcat on the hunt along the Madison river in Yellowstone National Park.

“We struggled keep up on the opposite bank, cameras and tripods in tow, in snow as deep as two feet,” he writes. “The ultimate capture would be a photo of this beautiful animal as it jumped from one location to the next. It gave plenty of opportunities for all of us, but it still proved to be more difficult than anticipated. We spent three days here focused on capturing the best images we could.”
