The Reds earned their fourth tie in the eighth week of the IPL at Tehran’s Azadi stadium on Sunday.
Both sides failed to create goal opportunities in the whole match. Persepolis fans shouted slogans against players and manager Manuel Jose at the end of the match.
Persepolis is currently standing in the 14th place of the IPL table with seven points and Naft took back the first spot with 15 points.
Persepolis has invested millions of dollars to have the veteran Portuguese coach and many expensive players but it has only gained seven points from eight matches.
On Saturday, Esteqlal beat Rah Ahan 2-0 thanks to Arash Borhani and Meysam Baou’s goals.
In other matches, Zob Ahan claimed a 2-1 victory over Foulad, Fajr Sepasi thrashed Damash 6-1, Saba defeated Gahar Zagros 1-0, and Malavan finished 1-1 with Teraktorsazi.
Naft Tehran is now on top of the table with 15 points, and Fajr Sepasi, Sepahan, Saba, and Saipa are second to fifth all with 14 points.
