Days of Palestine, West Bank -Palestinian Prisoner Bassam al-Sayeh, 43, is currently fighting death inside Israeli occupation jails, wife Mona al-Sayeh said on Saturday.
Bassam, who suffers from bone marrow, blood cancer, serious lung inflammation, osteoporosis and muscle atrophy in his heart, is immediately in an urgent need for a pacemaker implantation surgery to save his life.
Mona said that her husband is currently fighting death inside the Israeli jails due to the Israeli policy of deliberate medical negligence.
The Palestinian Prisoner Committee has previously said that Al-Sayeh “may die at any moment,” after his health had deteriorated.
Bassam war kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces on October 8 and sentenced to 20 years in Israeli prison.
He is a former prisoner who has spent several years in Israeli jails and was recently kidnapped during the trial of his wife Mona, who was kidnapped in last April and served seven months in administrative detention.
Amjad al-Sayeh, Bassam’s brother, has also been held in Israeli custody since 2002 and is serving a 20-year-sentence.
