P5+1 warned against obstructing bids

In a letter addressed to EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Thursday, Jalili said the Islamic Republic of Iran is always ready to contribute to initiatives that facilitate successful talks.

He noted that such talks are only possible in the framework of cooperation, and when they are aimed at winning the trust of the Iranian nation.

Those who replace logic with illegitimate measures must be held accountable for any harm to the talks, the top Iranian negotiator stated.

Iran and the P5+1 held a round of talks in the Russian capital, Moscow, on June 18 and 19.

They agreed to hold a round of expert-level negotiations in the Turkish city of Istanbul on July 3.
