Out Of Print Puts Classic Book Covers on E-Readers

Out of Print is a startup currently known for their t-shirts and cellphone covers. They take the original artwork from first-run books, many of which have long been discontinued, and use them as the designs on shirts and cellphone covers.

Through Kickstarter they’re raising money to create e-reader covers. They have partnered with the oldest book binder in the country to make covers true to book form with board and cloth. The interior protective cover will be made of rubber. Covers will be available for second and third generation iPads, Kindles and the new Nexus 7.

So far designs include several classics such as The Great Gatsby, A Clockwork Orange and Atlas Shrugged.
