Risque billboard posters for a new French film about adultery have been taken down in Paris because they are too provocative.

The adverts show male stars The Artist star Jean Dujardin and Gilles Lellouche in sexual positions which campaigners have said degrade women.

The graphic posters – for the new movie Les Infideles – have gone up across the French capital but are being removed after a decency row.

Outrage: The poster, which has appeared on billboard in Paris, has now been taken down. The picture is captioned 'It's going to cut out, I'm just entering a tunnel'

One image shows Lellouche on the telephone as a woman kneels in front of him – as if she is performing a sex act.

The poster is captioned: ‘It’s going to cut out, I’m just entering a tunnel’.

In the other advert a woman’s legs are in the air and are being held by Dujardin. It says underneath ‘I’m just going into a meeting’.

ARPP – the French advertising regulator – have ordered that the billboards be taken down.

People have written on Twitter that the adverts are ‘crass and vulgar’.

Stephane Martin, who works for the advertising watchdog, told French newspaper Le Parisien: ‘We already feel that this campaign is
against the rules, even if it relates to the subject of the film, a
comedy about adultery.’

‘As a preventative measure, we’ve
already counseled JC Decaux, who are in charge of the billboards, to
take them down.’

The Players – which goes by the French title Les Infideles – is about male infidelity and contains a selection of sketches.

It comes out in France on February 29.

I know I should find this offensive and demeaning…etc., etc., etc…but all I keep thinking is how darn sexy Jean Dujardin is and how I wish I were the one in the picture with him holding my ankles. I mean, really…oo la la!

Where have you been living all this time, under a rock? THE FRENCH HAVE BEEN DEGRADING WOMEN FOR CENTURIES! This is absolutely nothing new. Fortunately, for women today the laws are changing and there will be no more “running around” and making it legal in a marriage. The French may have great pastry (even though the Austrians and the Swedish rank higher in that department) and a beautiful country but when it comes to the way they treat their women, they might as well be living in the stone age! Did they learn about taking baths/showers yet or are they still working on that one too? LOL!

By saying that you just show TO THE WORLD how stupid you are and your lake of knowledge is hilarious… I’m sorry to say that but, as usual this kind of comments full of lies come from USA…

Those posters are demeaning to women full stop. To laugh at them and think they’re funny says a lot about you as a person. Young impressionable boys will look at that and think women are only good for one thing. In fact, women being demeaned sexually is everywhere we look these days. Keep laughing and blaming feminism you ignorant lot.

It’s small fry compared to page 3 that is sold before the watershed no one ever questions that ,! My 7 year old daughter caught sight of page 3 in Tesco last week
It SHOULD BE ON TOP SHELF away from young eyes at 9 am.

Very funny , i bet women complaint about it as usual

Let me guess….the growing influence of 1s!am put a stop to these. Careful what you wish for.

I thought they were hilarious! I’ve seen things so much more offensive and degrading to women than those adverts for goodness sake. Lighten up!

If this is so provocative; what about that little man, Sarkozy? He is always provoking.
Ban him too.

I don’t care he is a sexy frence man. Watched oos 117 films that were huge in France they were very funny , he has a great smile.
