Sean Edward Walker was shot and dumped.
Three men have now been charged in connection with a shooting in which a critically injured man was dumped outside Sunshine Hospital on Tuesday.
Tony Nguyen, a 25-year-old South Melbourne resident, was arrested at 1.45pm in Glen Waverley yesterday.
About 15 minutes later, 24-year-old Fitzroy resident Hoang Nguyen was also arrested in Glen Waverley.
Police would not confirm whether the men were related.
Both men faced an out-of-sessions hearing and were charged with intentionally causing serious injury. They have been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
Shawn Edward Walker, 28, of Brunswick, was dumped bleeding at the hospital in Furlong Road on Tuesday night.
It is believed he had been shot in his side, rather than his groin as police initially believed, and his right leg has been amputated.
Yesterday’s arrests come after 27-year-old Khais Nasery of Preston was arrested on Thursday in connection with the shooting. He appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court yesterday, and was also charged with intentionally causing serious injury.
Mr Walker, who is known to police, is on life support at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
This morning, a spokeswoman for the hospital told The Age that Mr Walker is still in a critical condition.
The homicide squad is investigating and police have released CCTV footage of a light-coloured Mitsubishi Verada sedan with a sunroof and spoiler that was used to dump Mr Walker at the hospital.
The car was found by police in Mayne Street, Sunshine West, on Thursday.
