Awake Goy Strange boxes have recently been appearing on tables inside of America’s favorite fast-food chain, and they serve a very distinct purpose that people have been utterly stunned to learn.
As many are aware, Chick-Fil-A was founded upon strong Christian principles, and they’re the reason the company has rapidly grown to become America’s favorite place to grab a quick bite to eat. The latest campaign to come from the restaurant is 100 percent family focused, and it’s something that we all can get behind.
In certain locations, when you walk inside of the building, you’ll see what’s called a “Cell Phone Coop,” and it’s exactly what it sounds like. The box is used to hold people’s phones while they eat, and Chick-Fil-A will even reward you for completing its “challenge.”

It’s called the “Family Challenge” and here’s how it works:
- Turn all family cell phones to silent and place in the cell phone coop.
- Enjoy your meal and each other’s company distraction free.
- After the meal, let Chick-fil-A know that your family has successfully completed the challenge and each member will receive a small Ice cream cone.
Free ice cream? Seems like a no-brainer!
Pretty cool, right? Leave it to Chick-Fil-A to come up with a creative way to bring families together while they’re eating out.
There’s a reason it’s become the number one fast-food chain in America, and it’s because of things like above – time and time again, the company has shown its willing to put people over profits. This time, it’s some free ice cream for doing what we all should do anyways.
Next time? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see what they come up with.
