Occupation kills 2 Palestinians, wounds 12 others

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces killed on Sunday two Palestinians and wounded 12 others in occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

Witnesses said that the Israeli police shot dead the Palestinian near the Damascus Gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Medical sources, which identified the Palestinian as Basim Salah, 38, said that he is from the city of Nablus in the north of the occupied West Bank.

According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli police shot the Palestinian man at least 11 times during, adding that the man was left bleeding until he died.

Israeli occupation army spokesperson claimed that the Israeli police shot the Palestinian after he attempted to stab an Israeli security officer. But witnesses denied this, stressing the man was shot while far away from all the policemen in the area.

During popular evening protests in the Jerusalem neighbourhood of Silwan, the Israeli occupation shot tear gas and live bullets at the protesters.

One of the protesters, identified as the 17-year-old Ayman al-Abbasi, was shot with a live bullet by an Israeli occupation soldier. The youth was immediately killed and Israeli army spokesperson said that they would investigate the incident.

Meanwhile, Palestinian medical sources said that at least 12 Palestinian civilians across the occupied West Bank were shot and suffered different kinds of wounds ranged from light to moderate.

The sources also said that the Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas at Palestinian protesters in several areas, also across the occupied West Bank, and 14 of them were treated for excessive tear gas inhalation.
