A political analyst says the United States’ plot to oust a sovereign elected government in Ukraine is a gross crime, adding that US President Barack Obama must be impeached.
“His [Obama’s] claim that is a national emergency in the United States is simply proof that Obama is declaring himself a dictator, that he’s acting outside of the constitution, outside of the Congress and that he must be impeached immediately if we are not to go with a thermonuclear confrontation with Russia in the coming days,” Mike Billington, editor for Executive Intelligence Review newsmagazine, told Press TV.
On March 6, Obama declared a national emergency to counter the “unusual and extraordinary threat to Washington’s national security and foreign policy” posed by the events in Ukraine, particularly the Crimea region.
Billington added that the upcoming referendum in Crimea is not an issue about Ukraine rather it is an issue about a thermonuclear war between Obama and his British controllers with Russia.
“A war confrontation they desire because the entire Western civilization is in complete collapse and therefore they are pushing for a war to have the right to force Russia and China to back down to an imperial policy of looting the entire world. And this has to be reversed and the only way it can be reversed is under US constitutional law to impeach this criminal president,” the commentator pointed out.
He said the call for a referendum runs counter to the national constitution, adding that the vote to throw ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych out of office was also against the constitution since it did not have the required number.
Billington emphasized that Yanukovych is still the legitimate president, even though he is not in office.
Local Crimean administration is expected to hold a referendum on March 16 in order to decide whether the peninsula should become part of the Russian territory or remain part of Ukraine.
Political crisis erupted in Ukraine in November 2013, when the country’s ousted president, Victor Yanukovych, refrained from signing an Association Agreement with the European Union in favor of closer ties with Russia.
The Ukrainian parliament removed Yanukovych from power in February and named Oleksandr Turchynov, the legislature’s speaker, as the former Soviet state’s interim president.
