About $500,000 worth of drugs and 50 live shotgun cartridges have been seized during two home raids in Sydney’s west.
Just after midday on Wednesday officers raided a home in Merrylands and allegedly found 2.3 kilograms of what they believe to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of $450,000.
More than 70 vials of anabolic steroids, a small amount of MDMA tablets and $39,000 in cash were also seized.
Half an hour later police busted into a house in further north at Cecil Hills where they allegedly uncovered around 450 grams of cocaine and 400 grams of methylamphetamine or “ice” – both valued at $100,000.
A large amount of MDMA tablets, and over 50 live shotgun cartridges were also discovered, police said.
A 48-year-old Cecil Hills man was subsequently arrested and charged with numerous drug supply offences.
He has been refused bail and is expected to appear in Fairfield Local Court on Thursday.
