NSW man dies in Tasmania road crash

A NSW man died when he lost control of his motorcycle and slid along the road surface slamming into an oncoming car in central Tasmania.

Police say the 56-year-old Unanderra man lost control as he came out of a left-hand curve on Lyell Highway near Hamilton at 4pm (AEDT) on Sunday.

The 57-year-old driver of the car, a Toyota Hilux utility, was not injured.
